Our Pastoral Family:

Pastor Jeremy Castellanos was born and raised in Northwest Indiana where he was converted at age 14 in 2006 to the Apostolic faith. From there he immediately felt a calling to ministry that he would practice ever since, being used in various capacities and internships and preaching engagements until he went to Bible college.

He earned his Bachelor of Christian Ministry from St. Louis Christian College while doing a co-opt program with Urshan College (now Urshan University) in 2015. Immediately following this, he became enrolled at Urshan Graduate School of Theology where he eventually met his wife, Shohna Castellanos. There, he graduated with a Master of Divinity and got married in 2018.

In 2021 he received his General License with the UPCI from the Georgia District under his pastor Darrell Johns. When he transferred in 2022 to the Indiana District to do ministry, he received his Ordination. In 2024, Brother Castellanos began to pastor Jesus Name Church just outside of Sullivan, Missouri as part of the Missouri District UPCI.

Sister Shohna Castellanos was born and raised in central Arkansas where she was also converted. From there she helped in ministry in various capacities including a year-long mission Latvia in 2005 and 2006. She later graduated from Mercer University with her doctorate of pharmacy. After this, she moved to Missouri to sit under the teachings of the professors at Urshan Graduate School of Theology where she met her husband. When moving to Indiana, she received her Local License with the UPCI. They together have two children, Abigail and Benjamin.

Our Values

We want a Jesus-centered community. How we arrive at this is by faithfully teaching and then living out the teachings of Jesus Christ. But we don’t want to keep this to ourselves! We’re wild about Him! And we believe all people can experience this new hope. This hope-filled community is open to everyone! And we believe that when we become part of this hope-filled community that we can then begin to fulfill the purpose God has for us. It’s all through, by, and in Jesus, His teachings, His name, and His Spirit. And it’s all for and with us!
